Workshop: Fitsteps

Sarah Causley
Fitsteps is a Latin & Ballroom Dance Fitness programme based on the popular tv show, Strictly. During a typical class, participants can expect to dance around 8-10 short routines covering an array of dance styles.

Sarah has been running her successful classes in and around Lyme Regis, for the past 8 years & believes that part of the reason people love them, is because the emphasis is not on getting the steps perfect but instead, on moving your body and raising the heart rate whilst getting lost in the music and enjoying the company.

In this taster session, which is suitable for all ages & abilities, Sarah will cover the beautiful American Smooth, energetic Salsa, pulse raising Jive, passionate Tango & the sensual Bachata. She looks forward to shaking, shimmying and sharing her love of dance with you.

Workshop: Tai Chi
Marie Carty
Tai chi and Qigong are, at their core, mindfulness practices, giving us the opportunity to ‘slow down’ and ‘feel’. These mindful body movements are profoundly healing to our heart and our entire being. Referred to as ‘meditation in motion’, Tai Chi brings you in harmony with your breath, your internal energy (Qi) and with your consciousness. The gentle Qigong warm up exercises encourage you to be in the present, in rhythm with the surrounding existence, bringing into play the relationship and the energies between the Universe and the body’s aliveness. The real power of Tai Chi and Qigong is found in continual practice, feeling, enjoying the sensations and making subtle adjustments constantly to make our movement, not just in Tai Chi and Qigong, but in every aspect of our life … effortless.

Workshop: Regulate and Rise - Hypnotherapy & Somatics
Lisa Monger
Lisa Monger is a nervous-system specialist, body linguist, and hypnotherapist with over 20 years’ experience helping people build real, lived capacity for life through body-led work. In her sessions, the body leads and change is something you experience, not just understand. People leave feeling clearer, steadier, and more able to meet life and enjoy it.
She loves cold water, hosts sauna sessions in Lyme, and brings challenge, adventure, and the elements into her work.
